new platforms · new markets · new business models · new mindset
The MPBS is designed to offer content producers and creators ways of maximising their projects’ intellectual property (IP) value by developing crossmedia financing, production, marketing and international distribution strategies.
The MPBS will focus on the business aspects of creating multi-platform content, with an emphasis on how to appeal to and engage audiences and maximise the commercial value of the project.
The MPBS is a hands-on tutorial and consultation driven programme offering participants new perspectives and expert advice on their course projects. Plenary sessions address the film and television, games, internet and mobile sectors, and present successful case studies from these industries. The course also provides intensive training in communication and presentation skills.
Industry professionals from each sector will work in one to one meetings with participants to identify and devise crossmedia strategies for their projects; examine how to optimise the IP value; developing, financing and exploiting content across platforms; new business models; reaching and engaging audiences; engage brands; identifying new revenue streams and financing sources; and maximising revenues.
MPBS is organised by the Media Business School with the support of the EU´s MEDIA Programme and the UK’s Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund and Northern Ireland Screen.
